The Trigg Prize is named after Archimandrite Michael Trigg (1940-2007). A priest and scholar, Fr. Michael earned a PhD from Oxford University 1968 and worked as Dean of Students at both California State University, Los Angeles, and Biola University. Fr. Michael served for several decades as parish priest at St Michael Orthodox Church in Whittier, CA, where he was instrumental in spreading an Orthodox vision of life and faithfulness to the communities of Southern California.
